We are back for the fifth season with the same teams. From the Central Lakes

Conference we will have: Sartell Sabres, Sauk Rapids Storm, St. Cloud Tech Tigers; St.

Cloud Apollo Eagles and Rocori Spartans. From the Granite Ridge Conference; Albany

Huskies, Becker Bulldogs and the Foley Falcons. From the Park Region Conference the

Royalton/Uspala Royals and from the Central Minnesota Conference the Eden Valley

Watkins Eagles.

Will bring you the individual results of the duals and Individual tournaments of all ten

teams. Also the list of upcoming of events, current state ratings and conference

standings. You can get more of your wrestling news and results at

www.theguillotine.com and more info on our local teams on my blog site:

https://minnesotamatrats.wordpress.com for more on Section and Conference previews

and Bi-weekly columns thru out the season.

FOLEY FALCONS

The Falcons closed out their regular season with a win over their Granite

Conference rival and No. 12AA Mora 34-27. They had a eight to six match split, in

a dual where the Falcons did rest some of their starters. The win over Mora

earned them the dual meet championship for the Granite Ridge Conference and it

built their dual record to 24-3 on the season.

ST. CLOUD TECH TIGERS

The Tigers closed out their regular season with a pair of dual meet wins at the

Rocori “Spartan” triangular. They defeated two Central Lakes Conference and

Section 8AAA rivals Rocori 60-15 and Alexandria 54-15. Alex Kern, Luka Rajkic,

Dallas Hooper, Jayden Sundstrom, Austin Brenner, Taylor Hugg, Graham Nistler,

Isaiah Green and Aaron Voigt all went 2-0 at the Spartan triangular.

SAUK RAPIDS/RICE STORM

The Storm closed out their regular season with a dual meet win over Section 7A

foe Crosby-Ironton 40-38, where they split their matches at seven apiece. It was

supposed to be a triangular with Nashwauk-Keewatin, but they cancelled. The

Storm closed out their regular season with a 16-8 dual meet mark.

BECKER BULLDOGS

The Bulldogs had a good tournament performance to close out their regular

season, they had all fourteen wrestlers placing for 159.5 points to earn second

place at the Albany “Purple Pride” Invitational. They finished behind AA Lean and

Mean Hutchinson Tigers and ahead of the third place team by a dozen points. The

Bulldogs won two championships by Nick Radnunz @ 285, he is now 23-6 on the

season and Lukas Paulson @ 120, he is now 26-7 on the season. They earned

three second places by Logan Jurek @ 152, he is 20-13, Kevin Andres @ 138, he

by Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AAA rival Brainerd 40-26, the Sabres

won five of the fourteen matches.

ROYALTON/UPSALA ROYALS

The Royals closed out their regular season at home with AA Lean and Mean rival

Pierz, they dropped a close one 38-28, as they split matches at seven apiece. The

match of the night may have been when Jacob Leibold an 8th grader @ 120,

defeated the No. 8A 113 pounder sophomore from Pierz. Another big match for

the Royals Jackson Held got a major decision over No. 8AA ranked wrestler from

Pierz. Another big match, that I have to mention would be Will Gorecki @ 106 a

seventh grader defeated a very good wrestler from Pierz.
