(KNSI)- In a double header on Friday, the Cathedral Crusader girls fell to the Becker Bulldogs 86-83, and the Cathedral boys

In the girls game, Becker came in 7-1 on the season with the Crusaders sitting at 4-4.

Becker did not lose the lead throughout the first half of the game, and went into halftime leading 44-42.

In the second half, the Bulldogs started off with a strong run pulling away by more than 10 points.

Late in the period, a 3 point shot from Cathedral's Megan Voit sparked a comeback that went down to the final minutes.

After playing the foul game, the Crusaders were not able get the lead.

The final score of the game was 86-83 in favor of Becker.

Cathedral's Celine Schoenecker was selected as the All Star Trophy and Awards player of the game with 29 points.

The Cathedral boys started off the same way as the girls did, falling behind early.

Near the end of the first half, the Crusaders clawed back into it and were only down by 2 going into halftime.

The second half was much more interesting, as Cathedral continues to stay on the trail of Becker.

The final minute of the game, the Crusaders were able to tie the game up.

The Crusaders had 8 seconds left to score a game winner, but were unable to, and the game went into overtime tied at 85-95.

Becker came out firing in overtime, with a 6-0 run, and broke the 100 point mark.

The Crusaders were not able to recover, and lost the game 101-97.

Becker's Brandon Gustafson was selected as the All Star Trophy and Awards player of the game with 32 points.

High School Sports will be on a break on KNSI until after the new year.
