(KNSI) - The Apollo Eagles defeated the Sartell Sabres 64-58 on Tuesday night.
The game started off with the teams exchanging buckets, and keeping up with the other.
Later in the first half, Sartell started to control the game, jumping out to an early 10 point lead.
Going into halftime, Sartell has a comfortable 7 point lead, 37-30.
In the second half, Sartell started to fall apart, and Apollo's defense started to shine. They were able to shut down Sartell's scoring and overtake them late in the game.
Sartell missing several free throws also contributed to their lack of scoring in the second half.
The final score of the game was 64-58 in Favor of Apollo.
Sartell's Luke Tillotson came off of the bench and scored 18 points. Michael Gieske had 19 points.
Apollo's Renell Edwards had 17 points, and was selected as the All Star Trophy and Awards player of the game.
