(KNSI) - As one may guess, many players deserve to be highlighted on a team that just won their section en route to state.

St. Cloud Cathedral Volleyball is packed with seniors that all make a difference but one has played a particularly intricate part and that is Meg Januschka.

Januschka's play in the Section 6AA Tournament especially caught the eye of head coach Glenda Prom.

"[Meg] had a couple huge matches for us. She has been a huge force for us at the net, both offensively and defensively; staying aggressive and coming at teams from many different positions."

That aggressive play came in handy in a gritty Section 6AA Championship Match against a tough Sauk Centre team that took Cathedral to the brink of elimination by forcing five sets.

The fifth and decisive set was a thrilling 16-14 Cathedral that was heard on the KNSI Sports Network.

Januschka finished the last two Section 6AA Tournament games with 17 kills and 8 blocks against Foley and Sauk Centre, respectively.

Like many Cathedral athletes, Januschka participates in three sports.

Immediately following the volleyball season, the senior will take her talents to the basketball court; in the spring she participates in track and field.

Before her last two sports in her brilliant Cathedral athletic career, Januschka looks to help her team in the Minnesota State Volleyball Tournament this Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at the Xcel Energy Center.

The Crusaders will take on a tough opponent, the 27-2 Kasson-Mantorville Komets; that game can also be heard on the KNSI Sports Network.

Congratulations, Meg and good luck to you and the Crusader Volleyball Team the rest of the way!
