Player of the Week: Patrick Fischer

For the Week Of Dec 17, 2012

Patrick Fischer

Sartell St. Stephen point guard Patrick Fischer is this week's Metro Sports Commission player of the week after leading the Sabres boys basketball team to their first conference win.

Fischer, a senior who has committed to play collegiate basketball at Bemidji State, scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Sartell St. Stephen's 50-40 victory at Alexandria.

Not only did Fischer spark the offense with his double figure scoring effort and five assists, he keyed the defensive attack that held Alexandria to just 15 first half points, coming up with five steals in the win.

The Sabres expect to rely on Fischer this season after the 6'4 guard averaged over 11 points per game one year ago.

Congratulations Patrick Fischer on being the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Week!
