Player of the Week: Jenna Januschka

For the Week Of Dec 3, 2012

Jenna Januschka

To be the leading scorer in a game is accomplishment enough. For your final points to come on a game tying bucket with less than a minute to go in an eventual win is even more impressive.

That is exactly what St. Cloud Cathedral girls basketball player Jenna Januschka did to earn this week's Metro Sports Commission player of the week honors.

Januschka led the way with 18 points in the Crusaders first conference win, 52-49, over rival Becker. With 49 seconds to go and the Crusaders down two, Januschka scored to even things up, paving the way for team-mate Sophie Harris to eventually win the game for Cathedral at the free-throw line.

So far through two games Januschak is the leading scorer for the Crusaders following a 24 point outburst in their season opening loss to Sartell.

Congratulations Jenna Januschka on being the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Week!
