Player of the Week: Jake Huber

For the Week Of Nov 6, 2012

Jake Huber

This week's Metro Sports Commission Player of the Week honor goes out to Jake Huber of the Rocori Spartans.

Despite his team's championship defense coming to an end against Detroit Lakes, Huber nearly led the Spartans to an amazing come from behind victory in the Section 8-4A title game.

Trailing by 15 into the fourth quarter, quarterback Mac Mueller found Huber for touchdown scores of 48 and 62 yards. Despite the scores, Huber and the Spartans fell 29-28.

Huber ended the game with three catches for 143 yards and two TD in the losing effort.  Earlier in the year the senior wide receiver helped Rocori to a 4-1 start this season, amassing 384 yards on 22 catches with four touchdowns to start the year.

Congratulations to the Rocori Spartans on their second straight appearance in a sectional championship game and congrats to Jake Huber for being this week's Metro Sports Commission Player of the Week.

Congratulations Jake Huber on being the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Week!
