(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University Hockey is coming to KNSI Radio. Husky Hockey Fans will find games on AM 1450/FM 99.3 KNSI and KZPZ HD 98.9-2 FM in the St. Cloud area. St. Cloud State Sports Properties signed a five-year deal with Leighton Broadcasting (owner of KNSI Radio) to broadcast St. Cloud State men’s hockey. The agreement is concurrent with the upcoming 2021-22 athletics season.

Coverage will also include regular interviews with St. Cloud State Men’s Hockey Coach Brett Larson.

“I’m thankful for the support and coverage Leighton Broadcasting will provide to our men’s hockey program,” said Larson. “Our dedicated Husky fans will receive superb coverage from the teams at St. Cloud State Sports Properties and Leighton, and I can’t wait to work with them.”

SCSU finished 2nd in the NCAA Tournament last season in men’s hockey after making their second trip to the Frozen Four. The Huskies have their season-opener at 6 p.m. October 2nd against the University of St. Thomas at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. St. Cloud State will have a free and open practice at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. 

KNSI will also bring SCSU fans comprehensive coverage for all Husky sports throughout the season. Husky fans also can find men’s and women’s basketball broadcasts and coaches’ shows on the TuneIn app or on the Huskies Athletics website at www.scsuhuskies.com.

St. Cloud State Sports Properties is the locally-based LEARFIELD team that manages all broadcast operations and corporate partnerships for SCSU as part of the overall multimedia rights relationship.
