ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A recount has revealed just a one vote difference between two candidates running for a seat on the St. Cloud School Board.
Hassan Yussuf and Scott Andreasen finished in the last two spots among seven candidates on the ballot in last week's primary. The two were competing for the final spot on the November election ballot, when three school board members will be elected.
Before Tuesday's recount, Andreasen had a four vote lead over Yussuf, but after all the ballots were counted a second time, Yussuf was the winner by a single vote. He joins Bruce Mohs, Jerry Von Korff, Peter Hamerlinck, Michael Conway and Bruce Hentges on the Novbember fourth ballot.
