ST. CLOUD, Minn (KNSI) -- Wright County Sheriff, Joe Hagerty, announced on Monday, his bid for re-election.
The announcement was posted on the Wright County website.
“It’s been an honor serving the citizens of Wright County as your elected sheriff during the past four years.” Hagerty stated online. “The service provided by the dedicated men and women who work with me in providing public safety services to our residents and visitors has contributed to the quality of life we expect and enjoy in Wright County.”
Hagerty also added: “I humbly ask for your support in assisting me with continuing the tradition of providing effective and efficient public safety services in Wright County. Thank you.”
Sheriff Hagerty has been with the sheriff's department since 1985. He was named chief deputy in 2006 and was elected sheriff in 2011.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is the third largest in Minnesota. It provides services to the unincorporated areas of the county and contracts police services with 13 cities.
Hagerty was born and raised in St. Michael where he lives with his family.
