Woman killed in Hwy 23 crash

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. (KNSI) A Marshall woman was killed Monday in a head-on collision on Minnesota Highway 23 in Yellow Medicine County.

The State Patrol says 35 year-old Terrie McCoss was driving a Honda Civic that was hit by another vehicle that was sliding out of control on the icy road surface.

McCoss was taken to the Granite Falls hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of that second vehicle--50 year-old Jennifer Henslin of Granite Falls--had only minor injuries.

The accident was reported just after 7:30 Monday morning.
