Woman found dead in garage fire

NEW ULM, Minn. (KNSI) Fire officials who responded to an early-morning house fire in New Ulm say a 79-year-old woman has been found dead.
The blaze was reported Saturday about 5 a.m. in a garage that had been converted to a residence.
The lone occupant was found dead inside. She has been identified as Dorothy Lee Nichols.
The state fire marshals' office is investigating the cause of the fire. An autopsy is also pending.
