Woman fights off potential purse snatcher

ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) – Police are investigating an overnight attempted robbery in St. Cloud where the victim got the better of her attacker.

An 18 year-old St. Cloud woman told officers an unknown man approached her around midnight Thursday morning and attempted to take her purse. She fought back against the would-be thief, forcing him to take off on foot.

All of this occurred near in the 12-hundred block of Maine Praire Road. The man is described as African-American, in his mid 20's, tall and thin, and wearing a baseball cap. No arrest has been made.
