Woman dies in Oakdale fire

OAKDALE, A suburban St. Paul woman has died in a fire at her townhouse.
Authorities say firefighters were dispatched to the townhouse complex in Oakdale about 5 a.m. Tuesday after a resident smelled smoke. First responders found smoke pouring from one unit, forced entry and found the victim in her bedroom.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
