MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (AP) - A woman accused of driving drunk and fatally striking a pedestrian in Maple Grove is facing criminal charges.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office charged 61-year-old Linda Hamm with criminal vehicular homicide. The Maple Grove woman turned herself in at the Hennepin County Jail Tuesday morning and posted a $150,000 bond.
A criminal complaint says a police officer on Jan. 31 witnessed a motorist driving erratically and then hitting a woman standing on a curb. Fifty-four-year-old Ann Blake of Andover died from her injuries. The car struck another vehicle after hitting Blake.
Hamm was expected to make a court appearance later Tuesday.
