ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) What a difference a year makes.
One year ago on this date, St. Cloud hit a record high 65 degrees. Today, a wintry mix will turn to accumulating snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 1 am Saturday. Freezing rain and sleet will transition to all snow Friday. Total accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected.
A second storm system will move into the region Sunday night. Forecasters say that system could produce snowfall amounts of six inches or more, and enough wind to create blizzard conditions--especially in western Minnesota.
St. Cloud picked up a half-inch of measurable snow on Thursday. That brings the seasonal total to 47.4 inches.
