ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The National Weather Service says an early March snowstorm could impact the area late this weekend and early next week.
A low pressure system is expected to move southeast across the eastern Dakotas and Minnesota from Sunday night through Tuesday.
This system may bring snowfall acculuations of 6 inches or more to much of central and southern Minnesota.
The greatest threat for heavy snow is along and west of a line from Long Prairie to Albert Lea.
The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from late Sunday night through Monday night. Some cities in the watch include St. Cloud, Alexandria, Mankato, Faribault, Owatonna and Albert Lea.
