GRAND FORKS, ND (KNSI) Some Minnesotans could spend Thanksgiving shoveling a fresh blanket of snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the northwest corner of the state from Thursday afternoon through late Thursday night.

Forecasters say snow acculations of three to seven inches are possible, with the heaviest snow falling along and north of U.S. Highway Two.

North winds 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts to 45 miles per hour may produce areas of blowing snow that could reduce visibility to near zero at times.

Cities in the Winter Storm Watch include Crookston, Roseau, Baudette, Thief River Falls, Red Lake Falls and Bemidji.
