ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A heads up for travelers today--southeast Minnesota is in a Winter Storm Warning from 6 o'clock tonight through 6 pm Thursday.

It does not include the St. Cloud area or central Minnesota.

Some of the cities in the warning area are Rochester, Austin, Fairmont, Blue Earth, Albert Lea and Winona.

Snow will move in tonight and continue into Thursday morning. Five to ten inches are possible from north-central Wisconsin through southeast Minnesota and into northeast Iowa.

Strong north winds gusting to 40 miles an hour will create blowing snow and whiteout conditions.

The National Weather Service says blowing and drifting snow could result in some road closures as well.
