ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) This has been one of the coldest winters in recorded history in St. Cloud--and the numbers back that up.

The National Weather Service says the average temperature during meteorological winter--from December through February--was 5.5 degrees. The only winters that were colder were the winter of 1935-36 (2.5 degrees), 1903-04 (3.6 degrees), and the winter of 1978-79 (3.8 degrees).

The normal high and low temperature for St.Cloud on March first are 32 and 13. Temperatures are expected to remain below normal until at least the second week of March.
