ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) It looks like it's going to be a very wet weekend in central Minnesota.

The National Weather Service says a strong low pressure area will bring widespread rain to the region from Thursday night  through Sunday--with total accumulations in the 2 to 4 inch range possible.

There's also the potential for severe storms Friday afternoon and Friday night, and the air will be cold enough to bring snow to the western Dakotas.

St. Cloud picked up 38-hundreths of an inch of rain on Wednesday.
