WAITE PARK, MInn. (KNSI) A four-legged member of the Waite Park Police Department has retired after a ten year career.

Police K-9 Dino retired at the end of December.

Dino began his career with the St. Cloud Police Department. He came to Waite Park in 2007, partnering with the late Officer Brad Thelen, who died in February. Dino then partnered with Officers Derek Whitehead and JoAnna Bigler to close out his career.

Waite Park Police Chief Dave Bentrud says Dino "had a great career and was one of a kind. When it came to work, Dino was all business."

Waite Park still has one police K-9 named Kato. There are no plans to replace Dino.
