WAITE PARK, Minn. (KNSI) Waite Park police are investigating a case of stolen mail.

They found a large amount of mail that had been taken from mailboxes during a traffic stop on January 21st.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, and a search of the vehicle turned up the stolen incoming and outgoing mail primarily from the St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Becker, Clear Lake and Clearwater areas.

Police Chief Dave Bentrud says stolen mail with addresses througout Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties were found.  Most of the postmarks on the mail are from January 14 to January 20th, although some goes back to December.

If you suspect some of your mail may have been stolen, you can contact Waite Park police.
