WAITE PARK, Minn. (KNSI) Waite Park police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station.

Police Chief Dave Bentrud says the Super America at 29 Third Street Northeast was robbed around nine o'clock Saturday night.

A man wearing orange gloves and armed with a handgun walked into the station and demanded money. He took cash and the store clerk's cell phone and fled on foot toward Crossroads Mall.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, about 40 years old, five-ten and 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark stocking hat with a small brim, a gray zip-up sweatshirt and gray pants.
