ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - It's the annual Spring Clean-Up day here in St. Cloud.
Volunteers, largely from downtown area businesses, are spanning the area, collecting litter and planting flowers.
Tammy Campion from the city of St. Cloud is part of a small morning volunteer crew beautifying the corner of 6th Avenue and St. Germain.
"We're refreshing World Heritage Corner by refreshing the plants, refreshing the mulch, and just making it look nicer," she says.
Campion says the event is organized by morning and afternoon shifts, with around 60 volunteers total - including a large afternoon group from Capital One bank.
Campion adds, if you see volunteers during the day and feel like pitching in, you're more than welcome.
The St. Cloud Downtown Council has hosted Spring and Fall Clean-Ups for more than 15 years.
