MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A vigil is planned for a 3-year-old boy killed after a stray bullet came through the wall of his home and struck his head.
Minneapolis police are continuing to investigate the death of Terrell Mayes Jr., who died hours after being hit Monday evening.
Police think the bullet was fired from around the corner and half a block away.
V.J. Smith, president of the anti-violence organization MAD DADS, says the vigil is set for Saturday afternoon near the boy's home.
The Star Tribune reports a fund has also been set up for Terrell's mother Marsha Mayes and her three surviving sons, at M&I Bank.
