ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The Stearns County Sheriff's Office and local police departments are investigating at least 20 reports of vehicle vandalism in the county.

Sheriff John Sanner says the vehicles are being damaged by a rock or paving stone being thrown through a window.

He says in most cases the vehicles have been parked on a public street.

Incidents have been reported in Avon, Albany, Freeport, New Munich and Melrose in recent days, and it's believed the cases are connected.

Sanner says people should park their vehicle in their driveway or a well-lit area whenever possible, and report any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information on these vandalisms can call Tri-County Crimestoppers at 1-800-255-1301.
