WAITE PARK, Minn. (KNSI) - Police say the former McKinley Alternative Learning Center student with an alleged plan to bring a gun into the building has been found and interviewed, and criminal charges are not expected.
Classes at the Waite Park were called off today after other students reported the threat to school officials.
That information was passed on to the police, who after discussions with school administration, made the decision to close the school on Friday.
Classes at other District 742 school are proceeding with normal hours.
Staff were allowed to be in the building after police determined it to be all clear.
The case does remain active, but school hours will resume as normal on Monday.
