ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - St. Cloud Police have released photos of last week's suspected west-side bank robber.
The images, taken from surveillance footage at Liberty Savings Bank last Friday morning, show a person, identified by reports as a man, in a sweatshirt and ski mask approaching the tellers' counter with a white bag.
Reports say the man came into the bank on Friday a little after 9 am, demanded money from a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He did not use a weapon.
Police Lt. Jeff Oxton says the man is described as light-skinned, between 5'8" - 5'10" with a husky build, dressed in a ski mask and winter jacket.
He was last seen running southwest from the bank through the parking lot. Police set up a perimeter and used a K9 unit to try and track him down, but he was not found.
No one was injured in the incident.
During the search, Westwood Elementary school, across the street from the bank, was placed into containment. It was lifted about an hour later after police determined there was no threat to the school.
Anyone with information on the suspect or robbery is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 251-1200 or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 255-1301 or 800-255-1301
