ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - New information has been released about a morning robbery at a west-side St. Cloud bank.
St. Cloud Police Lieutenent Jeff Oxton says they're seeking a single suspect in the robbery, which happened at Libery Savings Bank at 5803 Ridgewood Road.
Reports say the man came into the bank on Friday a little after 9 am, demanded money from a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He did not use a weapon.
Oxton says the man is described as light-skinned, between 5'8" - 5'10" with a husky build, dressed in a ski mask and winter jacket.
He was last seen running southwest from the bank through the parking lot. Police set up a perimeter and used a K9 unit to try and track him down, but he was not found.
No one was injured in the incident.
During the search, Westwood Elementary school, across the street from the bank, was placed into containment. It was lifted about an hour later after police determined there was no threat to the school.
Further investigation will be conducted by the St. Cloud Police Criminal Investigative Unit and the F.B.I.
