ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - A Melrose woman with dementia who went missing last Thursday and was found dead a day later outside died from hypothermia.

An autopsy performed by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner confirmed no foul play in the death of 83 year-old Clara Pundsack, says Bruce Bechtold, chief deputy in the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.

Pundsack was found at a farm site in Melrose Township, a few miles from her home. Authorities say Pundsack was last seen leaving her home on Thursday.

A homeowner found Pundsack on Friday in the snow next to a building on the farm.
