STAPLES, Minn. (KNSI) Two men have been arrested on drug charges after Staples police received a tip that a passenger on an Amtrak train headed to Staples from Washington state was in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine.

Agents with the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force with assistance from Staples police and Todd County Sheriff's deputies arrested 29 year-old Samuel Woods of Lake Stevens, Washington at the Staples train depot for possessing meth and a loaded handgun.

They also arrested 37 year-old Robert Owen of Wadena for possessing meth. Owen had come to the train depot to pick Woods up.

Both men were taken to the Todd County Jail pending formal charges.
