ELK RIVER, Minn. (KNSI) - Two Big Lake residents are in jail awaiting charges after being busted with drugs and paraphernalia.
Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says his department, along with members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Wednesday in the 400 block of Ormsbee Street in Big Lake.
During the search, authorities uncovered methamphetamine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and a loaded gun.
43 year-old Steven Coash and 39 year-old Kristie Kampa were arrested and are expected to be charged with 5th degree possession of a controlled substance, negligent storage of a firearm, and methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child.
Coash is also a felon, and faces charges for being in possession of a firearm.
Both were arrested without incident and were taken to Sherburne County Jail.
