ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A Stearns County judge is considering a request from the owners of Triple Crown Sweepstakes in St. Cloud to have property returned to them that was confiscated in a raid by state officials last month.
The business owners asked Judge William Cashman on Monday to have their property returned by the state's Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division. Triple Crown Sweepstakes was raided on August 9th because of what state officials say was an illegal gambling operation being conducted there.
No criminal charges have been filed in the case. Triple Crown owners Steve Ehlen and Richard Petty say the state should charge them--or return their property.
