ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Jury selection is underway in the trial of a St. Cloud sweepstakes center owner charged with running an illegal gambling operation.
Steve Ehlen is charged with four gross misdemeanors and four misdemeanors for his role in operating Triple Crown Sweeptstakes in the Centennial Plaza.
State gambling enforcement officials raided the business last summer, taking computer terminals and other equipment.
Ehlen and several co-owners contend they were offering a sweepstakes contest at their store--not gambling.
