ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Police are investigating three armed robberies at three gas stations or convenience stores in a three day period in St. Cloud.
Police believe two of the three robberies may have been committed by the same person and think they likely are looking for a total of two suspects. No station attendants were harmed.
The first holdup happened Friday afternoon at a gas station in the 700-block of Ninth Avenue South. A man wearing a hooded blue sweatshirt and glasses pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded money. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He's described as being a black male, 30 to 40 years old, six feet to six feet two inches tall with a muscular build.
The second robbery was Saturday afternoon at JM Speedstop at 1501 Northway Drive. A man entered the store with a handgun, demanded money, and then fled on foot. The suspect was described as a black male, about six-three, with a goatee. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts and dark tennis shoes.
The third robbery was Sunday morning just before 7am in the 25-hundred block of Second Street South. A black man estimated to be in his mid 20's to mid 30's entered another JM Speedstop, brandished a silver handgun, and then fled on foot with cash. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
