ST. PAUL, MN (AP) - St. Paul police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a 2-year-old boy. Medics were called early Thursday afternoon to a home on a report that a child had fallen.
The medics determined the boy actually had been shot. Police recovered a gun at the scene. Four relatives of the boy, ranging in age from 7 to 16, were at the home when officers arrived, but the parents were not.
Police say the boy's parents are cooperating with the investigation. Police say the shooting was not random, and no one has been arrested. Police are not seeking any suspects. The boy was taken to Regions Hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
