ST. PAUL, MN (AP) - A toddler is hospitalized after she was bitten on the face by a 170-pound dog at a St. Paul home.
The 18-month-old girl was taken to Regions Hospital. Her condition is not known. Police say the child may have a punctured eye. The mastiff dog was taken by animal control officers. Family members asked that the dog be put down.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/LuDkNx) says the dog belonged to the girl's grandparent.
