EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Three firefighters were hurt when a ceiling collapsed while they were fighting a fire in Eden Prairie.
Fire crews were called to a house fire about 5 p.m. Sunday. Investigators say the blaze started on the outside of the garage and spread to the home.
Eden Prairie Fire Chief George Esbensen tells KARE-TV the injured firefighters were taken to Fairview Southdale with non-life threatening injuries.
Several fire departments were called in to battle the fire, which destroyed the garage and caused significant smoke and water damage to the rest of the home. The family living in the house made it out safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
