ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Those hoping for an early spring will be disappointed to hear the last week of February will see temperatures well below normal in central Minnesota.

Overnight lows will drop below zero Monday and Tuesday nights, and daytime highs much of the week will struggle to get above zero.

The normal high for St. Cloud is now 30 degrees, and the normal low is 11.

The National Weather Service says the average temperature for St. Cloud from December through late February was 5.8 degrees. There were 54 days during that stretch where the temperature went below zero, and 50.6 inches of snow fell during the period.
