ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - A St. Cloud teen has pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Unintentional Murder for the death of Colton Gleason in September 2012.

Jesse Smithers, now 18, was 17 at the time of the incident, but was certified to stand trial as an adult.

He has not yet been sentenced, but is expected to serve 10 years in prison.

Smithers' guilty plea dismisses a formerly possible charge of first-degree manslaughter.

Smithers is accused of punching Gleason in a southside St. Cloud alley, causing him to fall and hit his head.

Gleason was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
