ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - St. Cloud Tech High School was placed on lockdown, and a student is facing charges, after he brought a replica handgun to school.

St. Cloud Assistant Police Chief Sue Stawarski says officers were called to the school just after 11:30 am on Friday to assist with a threats complaint investigation.

Officers found the replica handgun in the 15 year-old unnamed male student's pocket.

The school was placed on lockdown during the investigation. The student was then taken into custody without incident and placed in the Stearns County Jail.

He'll be held there pending charges of terroristic threats and possession of a replica firearm on school property.
