MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say they seized 400 packages of suspected synthetic marijuana and arrested a 27-year-old man at a smoke shop in Rogers.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the arrest was made Tuesday at a shop called Piecemakers. They say the man arrested was a cashier. Spokeswoman Lisa Kiava says the seized product carried the Black Mamba label.
A person who answered the phone at the shop declined to make a manager available and hung up.
A state law passed earlier this year makes it illegal to sell synthetic drugs, including synthetic marijuana, plus analog drugs that have chemicals similar to those banned.
Synthetics have been blamed in at least two deaths in Minnesota this year.
