Summertime by George summer concert series returns Wednesday

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - After attracting more than 45,000 people and establishing itself as one of the area success stories of 2011 last year, the weekly Summertime by George concert series along the shore of St. Cloud's Lake George ereturns for another season of music and summer fun beginning Wednesday night.

Organizers with the St. Cloud Rotary return a 12-week roster of local bands along with food and art vendors as well as a kids' play zone.

The series runs every Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. through August 29. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night's kickoff band is the Beatle tribute act Revolution 5. Other acts scheduled for this summer include returning favorites like the Johnny Holm Band, Diamondback, Slip Twister, the Killer Hayseeds and more.
