ST. CLOUD, MN (KNS) - Officials at Apollo High School say they're investigating what they're calling a low-risk case of a student being diagnosed with tuberculosis. Apollo parents were notified yesterday.
The student, identified last month is from Benton County. School officials say that student showed no symptoms of the illness and there's little chance they infected anyone else, however, the district has reached out to that student's close contacts to provide screening and treatment if needed.
137 cases of the potentially fatal illness were diagnosed statewide last year, it's the first known case of TB found in St. Cloud in 2012
