SAUK RAPIDS, MN (KNSI) - A man fishing on the Mississippi River had to be rescued Tuesday from a rock ledge near the Sauk Rapids Bridge.
The water started to rise around the rock as he fished and left him stranded with no exit strategy from the location.
Boats from the Department of Natural Resources were reached the man later Tuesday afternoon. Morning rain caused the river to rise after the man walked out to the rock ledge. His name was not released.
