ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - Police are investigating a complaint that someone passed four counterfeit 100-dollar American Express travelers checks at a local store.
The police department received a second unconfirmed report that a local store may have taken two more counterfeit travelers checks.
Merchants are advised to be careful when accepting travelers checks, and if they have questions, to call the issuing company to verify they are legitimate.
