RICE, Minn. (KNSI) Another large-scale search an Eden Prairie woman missing for two-and-a-half months yielded no new clues Sunday.
About 40 friends and relatives of 24 year-old Mandy Matula gathered Sunday at Mississippi River Park in Rice where they covered an eight-mile stretch of the river before ending the search around 6pm.
Matula was last seen on May 1st arguing with her ex-boyfriend--David Roe. Family members say Roe was determined to rekindle their relationship.
The next morning, Eden Prairie police called Roe in for questioning, but he shot and killed himself in the police parking lot.
Roe was a St. Cloud State student, and based on cell phone data, authorities believe Roe was in the St. Cloud area in the time between Matula's disappearance, and his death.
Mandy's brother--Steven Matula--says large-scale searches for his sister are over, but smaller searches will continue. Steven says he's "not giving up hope."
