Stearns County Road 1 portion closed after line break
Mar 20, 2012 at 5:36 am
SARTELL, Minn. (KNSI) - A portion of Stearns County Road 1 between Sartell and St. Cloud was closed until further notice late Monday while county crews worked to fix a suspected sewer line break.
An outgoing issue with pipes running underneath Road 1 from 9th Avenue North to County Road 120 caused flooding on the roadway and a need to excavate the surface to get at the pipes, according to the Stearns County Sheriff's Department.
Crews were working on the problem Tuesday morning and there was no official word on when the roadway could be reopened.
Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes around the area.
