ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - Summer weather may be lingering, but Stearns County's 4th annual autumn Amateur Photo Contest is underway.

Stearns County Information Services Director George McClure says this year, the theme suggested to photographers is "Fall Favorites."

Suggested scenes for the contests include back to school, fall harvest, hunting and autumn leaf colors.

“This is a fun competition that strengthens the connection between Stearns County and its citizens. It showcases what’s unique and extraordinary about where we live,” says McClure.  “Every year we get some amazing and creative photographs; it makes the judging process very difficult.”

Those selected as the top 5 photographers will receive awards, and one grand prize winner will get a prize package that will help them "celebrate fall."

McClure says, while they haven't assembled the final prize package, it will likely consist of passes to various fall outdoor attractions in the area like Quarry Park.

You can submit an unlimited number of photos from now through November 15th via the Stearns County website.
